HUB Finance - Accountant

A key member of the Finance Regional Shared Service team based in Singapore servicing different departments and business units in Singapore, China, Japan, USA and Europe.

A broad-based role focusing with exposure and hands on learning experience on accounting systems, , processes and procedures, reporting, analysis, risk management and, internal controls etc.  A central role where the Accountant will be able to liaise with Group Finance, Group Credit Management Team,, Commercial teams in many countries and, Bankers, Auditors.

Responsibilities:

Reporting, internal control compliance & analysis

• Reporting

o In charge of monthly management reporting to the Group

o Responsible for statutory reporting and tax filing

• Controlling

o Prepare overheads reports for Hub departments

o Perform cost control analysis and conduct meetings with Hub head of departments to review  overheads spendings

o Assist the Director in internal controls, forecasting and budgeting exercise

Intercompany and Treasury activities, Accounts receivables & Credit risk management

• Responsible for intercompany billings, confirmation and factoring process
• Manage cash forecasting and treasury activities
• Liaise with Group Treasury on reporting, queries, funding needs
• Liaise with Bankers on receipts and payment issues
• Setup new Customer accounts in SAP and manage open sales orders
• Liaise with Business units on Accounts receivables collection status and highlight potential risk areas
• Credit risk management and credit insurance compliance

Accounts Payables and Payments:

• Responsible for vendor invoices processing (Business Unit: HUB)
• Prepare bi-monthly payments to suppliers (Business Unit: GTR)
• Liaise with Group Treasury on payment calendar and process
