Business Development Executive

Job description

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will manage, accelerate the performance of our existing business and seek new opportunities in Malacca, Seremban and Northern part of Johor and other potential secondary towns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the direct manager in daily operational task; ie customer orders, claims, communication etc, utilise current On-Trade Market Universe and updating it regularly for effective coverage and listings.
  • Cover and seek opportunities at all suitable On and Off-Trade outlets to ensure product listing in their menu, product display at their bars, develop ad hoc promotional activities with the aim of signing longer term contract with volume commitment for our brands.
  • Work with selected Chinese Restaurants to organize RM & PHD Malts Dinners for their guests and to incorporate our brands into their Wedding and CNY packages.
  • Secure and conduct (if BA is not available) tasting/education session for our PHD Malts and RM Cognac. Good command of English and Mandarin and able to conduct story telling and demonstrate the key selling points of PHD Malts and RM Cognac. (Training will be provided)
  • Recruit direct clients tol buy/consume/support our brands on a regular basis.
  • Cover the multi channel with emphasis on hotels, high energy, hybrid bars and Golf & Recreational Clubs for listing and ad hoc promotions.
  • Prepare regular updates on best practice, competitor intelligence and local market conditions.

Profile

Qualifications

  • A Post-secondary school education. A Diploma/Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Mandarin, Chinese Dialects and English.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a business development / sales role, preferably in the alcoholic spirits industry or consumer goods environment
  • Knowledge in spirits markets, brand specifications, competitor products and consumer trends are preferred
  • Desires to succeed in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
  • Pro-active team player, who is self-motivated, able to work independently and willing to accept challenges.• Able to manage stakeholders and prioritise effectively.
  • Possesses an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
